ARTICLE 1: - NAME OF ORGANISATION

The name of the organisation shall be the official Blackburn Rovers Supporters Branch of Northern Ireland, hereinafter to be known as Northern Ireland Blackburn Rovers Supporters Association Northern Ireland. (NIBRSA)

ARTICLE 2: - OBJECTIVES

The objectives of NIBRSA are to promote, organise and unite supporters of Blackburn Rovers within Northern Ireland. It will also give members the chance to watch Blackburn Rovers at home and away. The association shall be a non-sectarian organisation.

ARTICLE 3: - STRUCTURE OF NIBRSA

NIBRSA shall be compiled by members, who will be managed by an overall committee.

ARTICLE 4: - MEMBERSHIP

Membership to NIBRSA shall be open to all supporters of Blackburn Rovers. The committee reserves the right to deny membership if it feels the decision to be appropriate

ARTICLE 5: - MEMBERSHIP FEES

  1. Annual membership fees for NIBRSA shall be set by the chairperson, but only after it has been agreed by the committee.
  2. Application for membership is subject to branch acceptance. All nominations will be ratified at the next branch meeting, after approval from the committee. The branch secretary will provide committee members of name and address of all those that applied for membership during the time since the previous meeting.
  3. Any member present at a meeting who has an objection with an application has the right to raise their view. The meeting will then decide whether to reject this application.

ARTICLE 6: - MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS

Any individual wishing to renew membership to NIBRSA shall submit their completed application form after the fee has been approved by the committee for the season ahead. A time limit for submission of completed application forms may be approved by the committee and late applications on the part of any individual may result in it being denied.

ARTICLE 7: - ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

  1. The Annual General Meeting of NIBRSA shall be held on a convenient date before the start of each football season.
  2. The committee shall select the actual date and members shall receive fourteen (x14) days notice of the date, venue and time of the AGM.

ARTICLE 8: - SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING

  1. The committee shall call a Special General Meeting by its own motion.
  2. All members will be notified if the committee requests such a meeting.
  3. Only the business for which a Special General Meeting has been called will be dealt with, except with the agreed consent of members present.

ARTICLE 9: - EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

  1. All running matters and business of NIBRSA shall be carried out by an executive committee, which shall be compiled by the following positions: -
    • Chairperson
    • Treasurer
    • Secretary
    • Webmaster
    • President
    • Vice-President
    • Football Manager
    • Committee Member (three places)
  2. The election of this committee shall be completed at the Annual General Meeting.
  3. Meetings with committee shall be announced by Chairperson or at the request of a majority of members.

ARTICLE 10: - BRANCH TRIPS

  1. Those who travel on official club trips must be members at the date of closure.
  2. When trips are planned, members must have balance paid by set date of committee.
  3. Places on official branch trips will be sold on a first come, first serve basis only. All trips will be advertised with a closing date for accepting trip applications, all of which must include the correct remittance.
  4. When travelling, all members must adopt acceptable behaviour at all times.
  5. When requested, official club clothing must be adhered to at intended events.

ARTICLE 11: - MATCH TICKET APPLICATIONS

  1. Applications for match tickets must be made through the official booking form and will not be accepted after the closing date for that fixture. Dates are listed to ensure applications are received in a manner, so that the ticket office can deal with them.
  2. Applications for match tickets for fixtures that the branch will be travelling on will be subject to availability.
  3. Applications must include payment at time of application. Payment must be made by cheque/postal order/banker’s draft/cash/on-line transaction. Cheques should be made payable to NIBRSA and in £ sterling.
  4. Applications for match tickets will be accepted on official forms only.
  5. The branch cannot guarantee match tickets for all games.
  6. Any member who submits an application for a match and no longer wishes to receive tickets, must notify the branch in writing.
  7. In the event of only a select number of tickets being available for a match, then the branch will deploy a ranking system when priority will be given to applicants according to the highest number of points held. In the event of Ranking Points failing to be conclusive, preference will be given to the earliest applications.

ARTICLE 12: - DISCLAIMER

NIBRSA, is not responsible for any loss, damage, personal injury or loss of life to any member. However, ‘insurance cover’, can be arranged at the request of a member.

ARTICLE 13: - LOYALTY POINTS

  1. Once subscribed as a member you will have a personal account, which will accumulate an overall score of points. This will indicate which member has given their most to the branch and attended different matches, functions and events. The ranking points can contribute towards the NIBRSA member of the year award and also if a ranking system is deployed.
  2. If a Ranking System is deployed (Article 11 - vii), where there are only a select number of tickets available for a particular game, when priority will be given to applicants according to the highest number of points held.
  3. The scoring of Loyalty points is as follows:
    • 1 point - away match attended
    • 2 points - home match attended
    • 3 points - every branch meeting attended
    • 4 points - every branch event attended
    • 5 points - for membership renewal from previous season
    • 10 points - for introducing a new member to the branch
